Brooklyn Acupuncture Safety Protocols

At Brooklyn Acupuncture we care for you in the safest way possible. We’ve put great deal of thought and research into our new office protocols in order to meet and exceed current safety standards. We adhere to the highest standard of universal precautions and CDC safety recommendations for clinical settings. Our new protocols include: PPE, superior ventilation, air filtration, easy access to hand-washing, sanitization, pre-appointment screening, disinfectant checklists and limitations on scheduling.

Your time with us is yours

At Brooklyn Acupuncture in order to maintain the highest level of safe practice we see only one person at a time. Our office is cleaned between every client with EPA approved disinfectants for Covid-19. We follow CDC safety recommendations for disinfection and air filtration between and during every session. Door handles, surfaces and equipment are sanitized between every visit.

Please arrive promptly for your appointment. Our sanitization protocols require we stay on schedule. Our waiting area is not available for use at this time.. For entrance to the building you may ring our white bell outside the building or for a touchless option, call 718.230.0583.

Masks for everyone

Your acupuncturist will wear an N-95 mask at all times during your session. All clients are required to wear a mask in our office. We’re happy to provide masks if needed.

Hand-washing

We’ve made easy access to hand-washing our priority. When you enter our floor, there’s a sink where you may wash your hands as you enter and exit without opening a door. To adhere to the highest standard of universal precautions we’ve installed a sink in our treatment room and hand sanitizer is readily available inside our office. Your acupuncturist’s hands will be washed or sanitized before and after any contact and prior to touching anything else in the room.

External and internal ventilation

We’ve moved our office to 808 Union Street to ensure access to both internal and external ventilation. Our office has a large window to allow fresh air to circulate in the treatment room. Our interior ventilation includes an updated HVAC system and multiple air HEPA filtration systems.

COVID-19 intake form

Our COVID-19 screening form must be filled out before your visit. If you or a family member is experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms we ask you cancel your appointment and we will waive our 24 hour cancellation policy.

Clean and simple

We’ve created a minimalist atmosphere in our office to ensure every surface can be cleaned and disinfected. We will no longer offer pillows but we can provide bolsters for your comfort which we are able to sanitize. Rugs have been eliminated in order to sanitize our floors and our treatment tables are covered with several protective layers that are sanitized between every session with time allotted for complete disinfection.
